Pharell on the Smarts
Pharell Williams of the Neptunes is interviewed by Channel 4's 'Transmission Live" while in Glasgow to perform a concert.
He is asked, and is keen to talk about, his feelings on the Scottish accent which he finds incomprehensible, at least immediately. In its defence, though, he says that the Scottish accent has much in common with the Jamaican and he particularly likes the way that they both pronounce 'thing' as 'ting'. He goes on:
"I think that it would be a good thing to get a Jamaican guy and a Scottish girl together. They're child would not be confused."
